Heading South

After speaking to our good friend, Amanda C, I have decided to post a very quick, very concise blog. She pointed out that I tend to fall way off the wagon with blog posts; I agreed. Then I pointed out that my main problem with blogging is that I often wait for an earth-shatteringly important topic to hit my brainwaves before I write. This is what holds me up, as those subjects don't come around that often. We determined that I need to blog freely, openly and more often.

So here I go.

We are about to head down to Austin, and one of the reasons why is spelled out in this Weather Bug update for tonight in Boulder: Mostly cloudy with a 10 percent chance of snow. Very windy. Lows in the 20s to lower 30s. West winds increasing to 25 to 40 mph with gusts to 80 mph possible after midnight. This is actually what is happening outside right now. Thank goodness we put a new roof on this place, as the ninety-mph rating on our shingles is sounding pretty smart right about now.

The forecast for Austin is as follows: Sunny. Highs around 70. Southwest winds 10-15 mph.

Michael, have fun heading south for the winter. We have some of your old cronies from Austin that moved up here to Tulsa and joined our trail running group. Kurt and Shelley now live in Tulsa and are part of TATUR, Tulsa Area Trail & Ultra Runners. I talked to Kurt at our Christmas party and he talked about you. Enjoy the warmth of Austin, as I heading up north to Illinois for a few days and I am not liking the weather forecast. Later.

Em and I are looking into running the austin half-marry in February. Will you guys still be down there? We'd likely stay with the Marshes.

Good luck with the training

Are you moving to Austin permanently or are you just wintering here?
